Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Rotary Kiln Operator to operate, monitor, and optimise the rotary kiln process for the production of high-quality Calcined Kaolin. The ideal candidate will ensure stable kiln operations, maintain product quality, minimise fuel consumption, and achieve production targets while adhering to safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the rotary kiln and associated equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production.
- Perform kiln start-up, shutdown, and normal operation as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor critical operating parameters such as kiln temperature, pressure, feed rate, fuel consumption, draft, and rotation speed.
- Adjust kiln operating conditions to maintain consistent calcination quality and maximise production efficiency.
- Ensure proper feeding of raw kaolin and maintain the desired material flow throughout the process.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Inspect the kiln, burners, refractory lining, seals, drive system, and support rollers for any abnormalities.
- Report equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and safety concerns promptly.
- Perform routine housekeeping around the kiln and production area to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Record production data, operating parameters, downtime, and shift reports accurately.
- Assist maintenance personnel during planned shutdowns and emergency repairs.
